Overview
This article explains how to run the player on Windows.
Install the player
Download the player
On the Lumicast downloads page, look for the Windows section.
You will see 3 different options: x64
, ia32
and arm64
.
To check if your Windows is x64, ia32, or ARM64, follow these steps:
- Press
Windows key + I
to open Settings.
- Go to
System
and thenAbout
.
- Look for the
System type
entry. It will show whether your OS is x64, ia32 (x86), or ARM64.

Use the downloaded player
Execute the installer. This automatically enables auto start, meaning when your computer reboots, the Lumicast player is also turned back on.
Keep your display on 24/7
- Access Power Options:
- Click on the Start menu and type
Control Panel
. Click onControl Panel
from the search results. - In the Control Panel window, click on
System and Security
. - Then, click on
Power Options
.
- Edit Plan Settings:
- Find your currently selected power plan and click on
Change plan settings
next to it.
- Change Display Settings:
- In the edit plan settings window, find the
Turn off the display
option. (do the same for the standby option). - Set it to
Never
by selecting it from the drop-down menu.
- Save Your Changes:
- Click on
Save changes
to apply the new settings.
